Northern Ireland Strategic Migration Partnership

The Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA) is the lead partner in NISMP, providing the physical and staffing resources for the Partnership and its Secretariat. NILGA holds a contract with the Home Office for the delivery of the work programme of NISMP, as agreed by the board.

Regional Strategic Migration Partnerships across the UK are hosted by local government associations or local authorities, and the symbiosis of these relationships has yielded benefits for all involved parties. There are many ways in which the Partnership and local government in Northern Ireland complement one another to improve the circumstances around regional migration and integration.
